There are still nearly three months until the ACCR Formula 4 Series opens its debut championship season. However, racing teams are starting to flock in, and several strategic partnerships have been fixed for the new junior series for Central and Eastern Europe.
Four Teams confirmed
Following Renauer Motorsport, an Austrian outfit with long-standing racing tradition, JMT Engineering hailing from the Czech Republic as well as Slovenian team LEMA Racing have also joined the grid for the debut season of the ACCR Formula 4 championship. Racing Trevor from Slovakia is the latest entry. “We have long been waiting for a series that covers our European home region. Hence, we didn’t have to think twice whether we would enter or not”, team boss Florian Renauer said.
Pirelli exclusive tire supplier
Meanwhile, Italian rubber company Pirelli that has been providing Formula One with tires exclusively since 2011, has agreed to supply the ACCR Formula 4 Series with its products. “We are very happy to have closed this partnership, as tires are a key factor, we have to accommodate our young drivers with, in regard to their formula careers,” series CEO Josef Krenek said. According to Pirelli’s Head of Cooperative Marketing for Czechia and Slovakia, Zdeněk Vacl, “Formula 4 is the next step for kart drivers and ACCR F4 offers a great platform for talents from this European region. As Pirelli, we know exactly, how important these championships are to strengthen our brand awareness, but also our expertise. We have been delivering tires to the championships, which will now become the joint ACCR F4, so it was obvious that we would continue our engagement.”
RAVENOL racing oil partner
Renowned Ravensberger Schmierstoffvertrieb GmbH (RAVENOL) will join forces with the ACCR F4 championship as its new lubricant partner. Martin Huning, Director Motorsport at RAVENOL, is also “very much looking forward to supporting the ACCR F4 series. This new Formula 4 racing series will be embedded in a successful and well-organized package of events. It will offer established teams an interesting alternative and new ones a very attractive entry into the monoposto sports.”
The ACCR F4 Series will commence with the season opener at the Hungaroring in late April.
